Join us for a 2-hour intensive workshop led by esteemed bonsai guru Robert Cho. With over 30 years of mastery, Robert will guide you through the intricate art of wiring, a fundamental skill for shaping and training your trees.Ā 

In this intermediate class, you will learn how to select wire gauges,Ā anchorĀ and apply wire correctly, and safely remove it to prevent bark damage. AfterĀ practicing onĀ several trial trees, you will apply your new skills to a pre-bonsai 8-year-old Ficus Retusa.Ā You’llĀ leave the class with a beautiful bonsaiĀ you’veĀ personally styled and trained.Ā 

One ticket per participant

Materials Provided: 8-year-old Ficus Retusa tree, pot, screen, lava rock, bonsai soil, and soil conditioner. (Professional tools are provided for use during class.)Ā 

About Robert ChoĀ 

Robert Cho is a master educator and grower whose work isĀ showcasedĀ at the Pacific Bonsai Museum. His 30-year career began in Asia, where he developed a unique style rooted in Lingnan and Jiangsu techniques. Now based in South King County, Robert teaches at South Seattle Community College and lectures across Washington. He is dedicated to sharing his deep reverence for nature and passing on the ancient traditions of bonsai to future generations.Ā
